Well today among my other tasks on my list is to wait for the Sears repairman to come look at our barely used ( only 5 years old) refrigerator. Actually it's the freezer that isn't working. My husband has been trying to see if he could fix it as it will cost us $95 just for Sears to come LOOK at it!!!!! Then the cost to repair it if it can be repaired....So I will try and get some of "my List" done while I wait the usual 4 hour window from 10am to 2pm.
On my list today is to:
1. Call the dentist and make an appointment for my implant-done
2. Send out email for my Card Buffet-done
3. Work on July's Scrapbook layout with Seaside
4. Work on July's Cards 4 Fun with Seaside
5. Go to bank (after repairman leaves)
6. Blog-which I'm doing now
7. Drink more WATER
8. Wash clothes
9. Meet up with my friend to return Brushed compliments that I borrowed
10. Mail package to my sister
11. Grocery shop for dinner-it's Taco Tuesday
12. And if there is time, knit, read and take a nap!!!
So that's about it EXCEPT to take care of my Sweet LIBERTY. She's had a rough 2 weeks with her congestive heart failure and fluid backing up into her lungs (again) causing her to cough and not have much energy to do much. Her appetite has been up and down too. And on top of that she got some bug and had diarrhea for 2 full days and nights resulting a visit to the Vet. So she was put on liquid antibiotics q12, eye drops q12, and butt ointment q12 ( her little butt-ski got sore from the diarrhea) poor baby! But (no pun intended) she's doing better today as she has her appetite back and even a little barking at the squirrels in our backyard. I sure love her!!!
Well retirement so far has been taxing on our pocket book and emotions, I can only pray for better days ahead so we can think about doing some fun things. So until next time my friends, Carry On Pray and Smile so everyone wonders what your up to.

Chad Wilcox
Hi everyone, well I didn't Blog as much in February as I thought I would. My husband and I were awakened at 6am on February 18th with the news that his (ours) son had unexpectedly died. It was such a shock and still is, he was only 39 years old! We were just frozen the whole day trying to process the news. Of course Cliff took his bereavement leave the next 3 days. We were so numb and to get us out I suggested we go to Cronan Ranch to hike and be surrounded by Gods beauty. It really did help us clear our minds so we went there every day that week. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful place that is so close to us. Anyway getting back to Chad, they originally thought he had some kind of Cardiac event, but to me that wasn't logical since there wasn't any history of heart disease in the family for several generations back and he was way too young. So they did a post and it turned out he had a PE-Pulmonary Embolism!!! I had been thinking that could have been the diagnosis since he just had Hernia surgery in November and he was complaining of leg and hip pain right away and f/b SOB the last few weeks before he died. Oh how I wish he'd gone to his doctor!!!
His wife Su had a Memorial for him on the following Sunday so Cliff flew out Saturday before and then came back Monday and went back to work Tuesday. I had wanted to go but the airfare was so expensive. We could have had a week in Hawaii for the same amount of money. Since that weekend we've decided to have a Celebration of Life Open House here on Saturday, March 28th 2-6pm. I made an invite on FB and we already have about 40 coming. Chad grew up here, so there are many family, friends and Church family that want to come. So we are trying to get the house ready, you know clean out rooms, pull weeds, etc to make the house more presentable. It gives us a deadline which is good for us. Oh how I miss and think of Chad every night when I go to bed, the day too but I'm busier then and night brings on many thoughts and prayers. I am going to put together a scrapbook of Chad with the little pictures that I have of him-I will do my best. So Happy Trails sweet Chad, I love you but I know you are with God now. I miss you very much...

Getting My Retirement Set Up
Well I'm feeling more and more like I'm retired. So on February 3rd I got set up with Social Security. I had a telephone appointment and boy was that cool. It only took about 10 minutes~she asked questions~I answered~She informed me of what my monthly income will be and when I will get it~I gave my authorization (you know you swear the above info is true etc.) record my "I do" and then BAM it's a done deal!!! I wish more things could be done this efficiently.
Then yesterday I turned in the papers to get my work pension started. Of course before I turned them in I had to do a lot of reading (my husband too) of the many pages and fill them out, getting my husbands signature notarized, going to the bank to have them fill out and sign their portion (for auto-deposit). Not a big deal but they could learn a thing or two from SSI~just sayin'. So after I did all the "must do's" I proceeded to go to my Knitting class and then I stopped by the Hospital and brought them a pie as a thank you for their retirement gifts and party. They all were super busy so it was a quick visit and then I told them I was going to go home and take a nap for them (because I could) LOL!
Now I have my Kaiser insurance card, my SSI is set up, and my pension papers turned in. So now I just have to put my feet up and wait for the money to come! See you all later it's time for some fun!

January 20, 2015 was my last day of work!
I Thought this picture accurately describes the setting sun or transition from my work life to that of my retirement life. I thought it would be interesting (maybe only to me) to blog about my first year of retirement-you know the good, the maybe not so good, the challenging, fun and whatever else happens along the way.
I had worked as a Respiratory Therapist for over 40 years and I really liked my job and felt that I made a difference in the lives of people for the better. But now is My Time To Exhale!!!
So the Question I got asked over and over was "what are you going to with all your time?" So to me that is so funny as I feel like I never had enough time to do the things that I enjoy so much. Isn't that true for other people or is it just me??? So in this blog I plan on answering that question and reveal different projects I am doing and that might be just putting my feet up and reading a book!!!
Toodles~ I'm off to play I'll see you back here soon!
